Well, that depends on where you live in the United States. Simonton Windows uses different chemicals in the production of their vinyl products depending on where the Simonton Window and Doors will be used, one formula for the Eastern U.S. and a different formula for the Western Region. Simonton’s different vinyl are created to protect from the harsh cold experienced in the eastern regions while the other formula protects from the extreme heat in the western regions.
That’s why the vinyl windows and doors offered by Simonton in the east are not available to consumers in the western parts of the U.S. and vinyl products produced in the western U.S. are not available to consumers in the east, with few exceptions.
The two Simonton product series we will be discussing today and that are available in the western region are Daylight Max, and Madiera. Simonton’s third main series Verona, has been discontinued as of September 2023.

Both the Daylight Max and Madiera share the same glass options and both come with accidental glass breakage standard along with a double lifetime warranty.
The Daylight Max Series does not offer its own sliding glass door design so Simonton’s sliding glass door available in the west can only be found in the Madeira Series but used along with Daylight Max windows. Since the same standard and custom colors are available in both series, mixing and matching between series is usually not a problem and can be a comfortable solution when unusual shapes or sizes are needed.
